Start here if you've already completed Spanish 1 with us, or if you've studied Spanish before and can confidently conjugate verbs in the present tense while speaking.

WHAT YOU'LL LEARN

Talk about preferences, responsibilities, and obligations. Use reflexive verbs to describe routing. Use direct object pronouns, imperative to make commands, and start using the preterite tense to talk about past events.

HOW YOU'LL LEARN

With a small group (averaging six students per class and capped at ten), you'll have an opportunity to engage in conversational Spanish with other language learners with realtime feedback from the instructor.

WHAT YOU'LL LEAVE WITH

Ask someone out on a date. Order drinks at a bar and chat up the bartender. Explain common pains to a doctor. Make requests. Talk about how you spent your last holiday. Explain your daily routine.

About the Teacher

Jonathan started teaching with us in 2018. He grew up bilingual, speaking English and Spanish at home; in addition, he learned French while studying at Grinnell College, Iowa, and while working as a language assistant in France for two years. His approach to teaching foreign languages is mixing culture and grammar to find easily-reproducible expressions; and, his philosophy is 'repeating ideas in different contexts brings the best in us'. Outside of work, he loves playing Civilization VI and The Settlers of Catan.

Zuza has been a teacher for over a decade. She teaches English and Spanish, and also speaks Polish and French. She has a Master's Degree in English Literature, as well as the prestigious CELTA teaching qualification. Zuza works with students of all levels and is always excited to begin new projects. She is an expert in Business English, pronunciation, grammar, and exam preparation. She is a positive and outgoing person, who says she's never really at work because she loves her job!

Allan is a writer and a Spanish instructor from Honduras, who has lived in Spain, Canada and currently in the US. Allan is a passionate about the Spanish language in all of its forms. He enjoys teaching every level, from a complete beginner student to the most advanced one. His approach is using conversations that are relevant to his students as a vehicle to learn the language. While he is not teaching you can find him running, hiking, biking and reading the newest Spanish novels.

Do you hold classes on holidays?

We know our students and teachers probably have holiday plans, so we do not hold classes on Federal holidays.

Can I cancel my enrollment?

Plans change—we get it. You have until 7 days before the start date of your Group Course to make any cancelations. After that, there are no refunds under any circumstance.

How many times do you group classes meet?

Our online group classes meet for a total of 20 hours of live instruction. We have weekly classes (2 hours once a week for 10 sessions) and biweekly classes (1 hour twice a week for a total of 20 sessions).

What if I enroll in the wrong level?

If you feel your level isn't the right fit, reach out to [email protected] before your second class and we will transfer you to a better fit, free of charge!

Are there any age restrictions?

Only students 18 years or older can participate in this course. If you are looking for options for students under 18, please check out our Kids and Teens page!

When should I sign up for my course?

As long as the group course has not been cancelled or it has spots left, there is no deadline to sign up. However, we strongly encourage you to sign up at least two weeks in advance in order to secure your spot!
